On the 12th of October I set off on an unexpectedly sunny morning to Cairndow in Argyll. I couldn’t believe the weather, it was like a summer heatwave… in mid October! What luck this lovely couple had for their wedding day! I spent the morning with the bridal party, enjoying the views and getting a few pictures. Lahra, the bride was just so cool and relaxed and wearing a very different dress to the usual white wedding gown. I loved it instantly. Then I set off through the forest to the amazing Ardkinglas Estate House where the ceremony was being held. WOW! It was gorgeous! The ceremony was great and in such a lovely room, then we hung around for drinks and group photos making the most of the location! (Pretty sure I got a tan) We then set off to the reception venue in Ardlui, and again more amazing views! You’ve just got to love Argyll! In the evening I set up my photobooth for the first time and we got some pretty good photos! Hopefully I’ll be able to do more of these soon! I left in the wee hours of the morning after an amazing, chilled out and fun wedding! I wish Lahra & Dan the best of luck for married life! Here is my very detailed account of their day.
The lovely Colin & Sarah-Jayne came over to argyll to do a wee pre-wedding shoot. We spent our time clambering over rocks on Asknish Bay with muddy feet and trekking through the beautiful Arduaine Gardens. I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding in May next year! 🙂
On the 16th of August I set off in the morning sunshine to High House Farm & Brewery in Matfen for Matthew & Verity’s gorgeous wedding. It was supposed to rain, but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, this couple had all the luck for such an amazing location. Lovely ceremony, and speeches that brought a tear to my eye! The couple had their own personalised beer kegs and a hog roast for dinner! The night ended with little bonfires and a Scottish ceilidh band. Being one of the few Scottish people there, I found myself in a new role as a dance instructor, taking the floor with the band’s drummer to show the eager guests what to do! I wish Matthew & Verity the best of luck and a happy marriage together!
I met with Sarah & Gavin one afternoon in Glasgow and we went for a walk through Kelvingrove Park. Looked like a pretty nice day until about an hour in the heavens opened up and we got soaked!! Hopefully the rain will stay away for their wedding on the 1st of November. 🙂
